I never knew such ideas can be materialized… David McCandless
It was one of those days when I was going through the random design or architectural blogs for inspiration, when I chanced upon the works done by David McCandless… There are a series which I really like, take for one, the “ The Biggest Stories of Our Time, Visualized”, a tasteful interpretation of how events can be re-represented in graphics, seemingly complex, yet at times, easily understood. Guess this is the power of visual communication, where effective design does bring messages across in a extremely legible way, without much use of words. I thought the ideas he had highlighted in his study on colours across different cultures are worthy to look into, and maybe see how designers or architects can be inspired by such information in their design.
